RTITB will be gracing the Microlise Conference 2017 with not one, but two special discussions when the event kicks off on Wednesday 17th May, at the Ricoh Arena.
Over 1,000 attendees from throughout the industry will come together for the industry’s premier conference, featuring speakers and workshops covering all areas of the road transport industry. Richard Brewer, National Register of LGV Instructors Manager for RTITB will be gracing the event’s main stage to discuss the issues affecting both drivers and other road users with regards to night time deliveries. Richard will discuss the issues night time deliveries can cause, including noise pollution, congestion and safety and how employers can help to prepare drivers for the various challenges they will face.
To hear Richard’s talk, make sure you visit the Theatre Conference at 11.30am on Wednesday 17th May. Book your free place for the conference on the Microlise Conference website now.
Also attending the event is Dave Cox, Business Development Manager for the RTITB Instructor Academy. Dave will be taking to the floor at thehttp://microliseconference.com/agenda/at 8.30am for his talk on LGV Driver: The Forgotten Profession. Dave’s talk will take a look at how many drivers have lost their pride for the role and no longer see themselves as professionals. Employers and trainers alike can help to instil motivation and contentment back to drivers and, with a driver shortage affecting the UK industry, helping to keep drivers in the profession and encourage new drivers to join has never been more crucial.
