Sheffield-based, Portland Training Company, has become a RTITB accredited training provider to help grow their business, cut admin time and save heavy financial costs.
As one of the UK’s leading providers of quality personnel to industries, becoming an accredited partner means that they can deliver in-house lift truck training and comply with required legal and best practice standards.
The partnership with Portland Training Company has helped ensure them to support legal compliance and actively work towards decreasing the number of workplace incidents on site. Accredited workplace transport training has also been shown to increase operator accuracy and productivity.
Laura Nelson, Manging Director of RTITB says: “It’s important that the companies we work with understand the potential risks of in-house training, as well as the benefits of the accreditation, so that they can choose the training that provides the safest workplace transport operation possible.
RTITB accredited training offers a clear record of what was covered in the training and duration of the training, plus the information to confirm that testing took place under the proper conditions. Conversely, in-house courses may not cover all the correct required topics for skills operation and safety and testing processes are not guaranteed to have been administered correctly and fairly. By law, in-house training must have the protection of a clear audit trail demonstrating what they have done, which is something Portland Training Company will receive through their partnership with RTITB.
We are delighted to welcome Portland Training Company to the family and are looking forward to continuously working with them to reassure them of the quality of their training delivered,” concludes Laura.
