Is Your Training Ready for September 1st?

As we communicated to RTITB's members back in January, from 1st September, all training organisations will be required to implement the new Basic Operating Skills Test for Counterbalance (B1) and Reach (D1 & D2) trucks, as released by the Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA).

We want to help you as much as possible to ensure you have everything you need to be ready for the change, and since the release of the changes, have been busy updating a number of our training aids to correspond with 1st September. All items are available to purchase now from our online store:

Counterbalance Forklift Truck Trainers’ Guide: Our most recent trainers guide now covering ABA categories B1 and B2. This highly visual, easy to follow Instructor guide now includes a USB containing a course delivery presentation, detailed syllabus, session library and associated knowledge papers. See a sample of the guide.

Training Journal: Available in packs of 3, these journals help you keep a record of your candidates’ training evidence on one document. Each journal includes a registration, eligibility declarations, course information, assessment scores, test marking sheet and a record of training.

Associated Knowledge Question Papers: Never worry about compiling theory question papers again with this set of 3 reusable laminated question papers. The papers have been produced to be compliant with recommendations from the British Dyslexia Association.

Test Marking Sheet Bundle: Get your new pre-use, practical and associated knowledge test marking sheets in our handy bundle. Available in pads of 50 sheets, each test sheet is duplicated providing a handy secondary record of the test if required.

We also have a range of visual Training Aids which can assist operators with their pre-use inspection knowledge, such as our Counterbalance Pre-Use Check Poster and Pocket Guide. Packed full with colour photos, tips and guidance, these aids act as a daily reminder to operators as to the areas that must be checked as part of their daily duties. The Pre-Use Check Poster and Pocket Guide is also available in a bundle.
