The new testing will cover the following categories: A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 and A7. Use of the updated test will be mandatory for all training partners from 1st December 2019.

As a result of this new testing, the ABA has also released an updated list of ABA Workplace Transport Groupings. This can be viewed here.

We strongly encourage all in-house and commercial training partners to read the new test in detail to ensure you are aware of the changes ahead of the 1st December 2019. As part of the new development, category A8 has been removed from the ABA truck classification and has been replaced by D3.

If you have any questions regarding the changes to the A category testing, please contact the ABA here.
